​Unveiling the plaque at Terezin commemorating the cultural program  Mr. Ludwig created for the Czech government and U.S. State Department. The plaque honors the “determination and courage of the amateur and professional musicians incarcerated in Terezín.” 
ARTS ACTIVIST

For more than three decades, Mr. Ludwig has established fundraising and rescue programs and performed on stage and CD to benefit causes in the U.S., the Czech Republic, Bosnia, Dafur, Tibet, and Central Europe's Roma communities. He has also:
  • been nominated by U.S. Ambassador William Cabaniss as a UNESCO Artist-for-PEACE and Goodwill Ambassador. 
  • produced and recorded concerts to raise funds for flood relief in the Czech Republic
  • established the MusicFOR/Sarajevo project to rebuild Sarajevo's music academy
  • founded the renowned Terezín Music Foundation and directs its international concerts, commissions, recordings, publications, and Holocaust education programs
  • performed for the Dalai Lama at the U.S. Capitol in a ceremony awarding His Holiness the Tom Lantos Human Rights Prize
  • produced concert and literary events promoting tolerance and Holocaust remembrance
